The impact of face to face training on teaching skills for feeding infants Breast milk in nursing and midwifery staff employed in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit ,Neonatal Units and Emergency Obstetric
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of face to face training in teaching skills breast feeding on nursing and midwifery staff employed in neonatal, NICU and emergency childbirth units. Inclusion criteria: Nurses and midwives working in the NICU, neonatal and emergency childbirth units and have participated in the breastfeeding workshops. Exclusion criteria: Individuals who have participated in workshops of a similar skill. This non randomized clinical trial will be done within 4 months of nursing and midwifery personnel who’s working in NICU , neonatal, and emergency obstetric units of valie asr hospital.
There are two basic theoretical and practical training that Practical classes are taught at first on a doll at the skill lab and then on the mother at the lactation room. Outcome and effectiveness of teaching is checked through questionnaires that before and after training be filled. The Knowledge and insight will be assessed with checklists and the Skill and function evaluation by the OSCE exam. The sample size is estimated 30 people. Reassessment to Check Effect of training will be done 1 month and 3 months after.
