Impact of short message system reminder on adherence to treatment plan, in discharged patients after coronary artery bypass graft surgery

Protocol summary

Summary
The purpose of this study is evaluating the Impact of short message system reminder on adherence to treatment plan, stress, anexiety and depression in discharged patients after coronary artery bypass graft surgery. This study is a randomized clinical trial. 102 patients who went under the coronary artery bypass graft surgery are included. Patients are randomly devided to 2 groups; intervention and control. Intervention group will receive a Text message containing medication regimen, dietary considerations and clinical teaching advices in days 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 after discharge. Ther is no intervention in Control group. After day 20 the Impact of short message system reminder on adherence to treatment plan, stress, anexiety and depression in discharged patients after coronary artery bypass graft surgery will be evaluated by patient adherence questionnaire.

Purpose
Prevention
Inclusion/Exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: complete consciousness; ability to read and write; being able to answer the questionnaire; having a cellphone and being able to use it; patients aged 40-60 years old. Exclusion criteria: unconsciousness; unstable health condition; being unintended to be involved in study; any reason which interrupts collaboration.
