Protocol summary

Summary
This research was designed to study the Interaction effect of body psychotherapy and biofeedback on the neuropsychological action of self-esteem and emotional intelligence in mothers of children with special learning disabilities in mashhad, Iran. All subjects (n=17) were randomly divided into two groups, experimental (n=7) and control (n=10). All subjects were evaluated using self-esteem inventory of Coopersmith and Bar-on Emotional Quotient Inventory before the beginning of study. Experimental group experienced 3 months period of body psychotherapy (2 sessions every week, ninety minutes, total session 24) and biofeedback (every two weeks, total session 6). At the end of the experimental period, all subjects were retested by above mentioned tests.

Inclusion criteria: The mothers of children with learning disorders subjects (diagnosed by specialist using authentic tools). Exclusion criteria: Learning disorders affected by factors such as mental retardation, visual impairment, hearing impairment, locomotor disability and so on.
