The aim of this study was assessing of the effect of education on knowledge, attitude, and washing and sterilization behaviour of surgery tools among operating room staff.
Including criteria were participants who had B.S. of nursing or associate degree of operation room; these who have been working in CSR or operation room as a surgeon assistant more than 3 months.
Exclusion criteria: Participants who didn’t have cited conditions. 60 people including scrub and, circular nurses, and staff of washing and sterilization unit participated in this study, selected randomly. Then they were divided in to 3 groups accidentally. One of the groups was control (without education) and the other two were case groups (group 1=face to face education by film, group 2=distance learning by film and pamphlet). Primary outcome measure included knowledge, attitude, and washing and sterilization behaviour, Primary outcome time points were beginning of the study, after one month, after two month and Primary outcome method of measurements were
Researcher made questionnaire to assess knowledge, attitude and washing and sterilization Behavior of Surgery tools . Primary outcome measure,time points and method of measurements in all three groups performed similarly.
