Comparison of web based training, simulation based and traditional on midwifery students' clinical competency to manage postpartum Hemorrhage

Protocol summary

Summary
In this study, a three-group, randomized clinical trial that aims to compare the effectiveness of web-based training, and traditional simulation based on midwifery students' clinical competence in the management of postpartum hemorrhage. Inclusion criteria: undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery students; passing maternity theory of 2; consent to participate in research. Exclusion criteria: Problems, such as lack of education ; the absence participation in all phases of the test period.After explaining the objectives of the study and the consent of Medicine, 90 students participated in the study, the test method is OSCE. In this way the Students' skills in managing postpartum hemorrhage in 5 stations in the period running up to 30 minutes Skills of students by fellow researcher is gauged using the check list. The participating students into three groups (traditional education, web-based training, simulation-based training) are divided. In traditional training for 4 hours, training, management of postpartum hemorrhage, through lectures with PowerPoint and a video tutorial on how to simulate a 4-hour training run postpartum hemorrhage on mannequins postpartum and group Web-based management of postpartum hemorrhage learning via the Web is designed to be taught. 1 week after completion of the training, three groups of students after the test is done. After execute and completeness of information, students are competent in the management of postpartum hemorrhage is determined and compared before and after intervention.

Description
In traditional training, educational materials, lectures with PowerPoint and training videos for 4 hours (2 sessions, from hours 8 to 12AM) will be provided by the researcher. In group simulation-based training in the center of clinical skills in the summary of the content of the educational sessions, PowerPoint presentations and instructional videos for 45 minutes is explained, how to manage bleeding after delivery on the mannequin to the students displayed that, after training, students can practice on a mannequin or model. (for a total of 4 hours of training). Students have access to the website for 1 week one week after they have crossed username will be canceled and students will no longer be able to access educational content And other students will not be able to access educational content. At this time the students can via email (asynchronous) or face to face contact with a researcher should ask their own questions.
