Purpose: present study was conducted to indentify efficacy of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing on anxiety of patients with Myocardial infarction
Inclusion criteria: not having any History of seizures, Mental illness, Addiction, Strabismus and vision problems
Exclusion criteria: Not tolerate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy, not assisted with therapist
Method: present research is a clinical trial. Sixty patients with myocardial infarction hospitalized at cardiac ward of a hospital in Qazvin in 2011-2012 were selected using purposeful sampling and were divided by random assignment into case and control groups. In order to collect data, demographic questionnaire and anxiety questionnaire were used. Interventions were performed in two sessions every other day for 45 to 90 min. Anxiety level of patients was measured before and after intervention.
