A comparison of the effect of teaching cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) by using modified team based learning (MTBL) and traditional methods on knowledge and skills of nursing students
Introduction: Deficiency in medical skill and knowledge of the personnel in CPR is considered as a factor with undesirable consequences in the victims of heart attack. TBL is a new educational strategy which is remarkable for medical educational societies. The aim of this study is to compare the effect of CPR education based on MTBL and traditional method.
Methodology: Statistical society was considered of all nursing students which 50 third year nursing students were chose by available sampling and were divided randomly in two experimental and control groups. In the experimental group, CPR was teaching by MTBL method and traditional method in the control group. The materials which were used for data collection are the knowledge assessment questioner and the checklist of CPR skill assessment. The results were analyzed by SPSS.
