The aim of this study is to assess the effect of performing routine chest and abdominopelvic CT-scan on outcome and admission time in blunt trauma patients, in comparison to a selective use of CT-scan. One-hundred and forty hemodynamically stable and conscious blunt trauma patients are enrolled in the study and assigned randomly into two groups. For group one CT-scan is done selectively according to the decision of the trauma team and for group two chest and abdominopelvic CT-scan is requested for all.Time of admission in the emergency room,on the ward and intensive care unit, performed surgical procedures, morbidity and mortality are assessed.
