Evaluation of the efficacy of behavioral remodeling for treatment of resistant pes anserine tendino-bursitis
This study is a monocentric, randomized (Packed envelope method), controlled clinical trial.
Target sample size: 60 patients with PATB who consult to rheumatologist
Inclusion criteria: 50 to 60 years old females with resistant PATB, BMI=25-30 kg/m2
exclusion criteria : patients with heart diseases, DM, HTN, peptic or duodenal ulcer, cancer, hepatic or renal disorders, analgesic drugs intolerance, history of knee surgery or RA or trauma , previous treatment of PATB during last year
In intervention and control group, in addition to receive naproxen (500 mg q 12 hrs) or diclofenac (75 mg per day) and pantoprazole (40 mg per day) for 2 weeks, weight loss, avoid to kneeling down and sitting crossed leg, quadriceps muscle strengthening which is same as control group, training about manner of getting up will done, so when patient gets up tibia bone is in neutral position and is not in external rotation position. The control group is not taught how to get up.
