Hemodialysis is a treatment for patients with chronic renal failure, which is used to correct water and electrolyte. Fatigue is a common side effect of hemodialysis. Thus, using a non-invasive and non-pharmacological method to control and reduce fatigue is required. Progressive muscle relaxation is one of these techniques. This study was done to evaluate the effects of relaxation techniques on fatigue in patients undergoing hemodialysis. 90 dialysis patients were randomly divided into intervention and control groups. Fatigue will be measured in both groups using a questionnaire fatigue. Relaxation techniques are taught in three sessions of the intervention group. Patients will do relaxation techniques to 6 weeks, once a day at home. The control group does not have any intervention. After 6 weeks of fatigue questionnaire given to patients in both groups. The data will be analyzed by spss software.
