This study is a randomized controlled clinical trial to will be determining the effect of independent variable empowerment model on the dependent variable chemical warfare quality of life. In this study population of Tehran\Iran and Suburbs chemical warfare that have a history of non-approved drugs are literate.
Sample with 95% confidence and 5% error Was estimated 80 person A two-stage sampling method, first based on purposive sampling method inclusion criteria were then randomly divided into two groups said.
The survey questionnaires to collect data are demographics, quality of life, and disease specific empowerment. After the pre-test phase will begin in the intervention groups will take the stage for intervention and control group no intervention will received.
For groups, family centered empowerment model with four steps and four dimensions, the perceived threat (severity and sensitivity), self-efficacy, and self-evaluation runs
After ensuring the empowerment of patients and family members by enabling measurement instruments, for one month cannot be carried out without any intervention. Then do a post test questionnaire for quality of life in both the control and data will be analyzed and will be compared. Two months after post test implementation in both groups, the track will be run.

inclusion Criteria: Patient and family members willing to participate in this study have his able to complete questionnaires and participate in empowerment model is run ; Male chemical veterans, and residents of Tehran are approved by the bonid janbazan ; Under 70 years of age and disability percentage is below 50% ; Haven’t chronic mental disease ; There is no a history of suffering from malignant diseases, cardiovascular, renal, hepatic, Neurological disorders and motor prosthesis ; Drug abuse is not present ; should be having lower quality of life score (less than 60% of total score) ; Haven’t lung disease before exposure to chemical fumes ; Have to be literate ; haven’t Work experience or a degree in the medical sciences (own and other family members).
Exclusion Criteria: Inability to continue working each sample or family due to problems or illness and hospitalization.
