Purpose is evaluating the effect of education based on health belief model on the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases in women victim of rape.
Inclusion criteria include:
Occurrence of at least one of vaginal, rectal or oral intercourse approved by the forensic medicine specialist or self-expression,
Have the ability to make phone calls,,
Be Literacy,
Not receiving health services for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases,
The absence of any mental disorder
Exclusion criteria:
Occurrence of any known mental illness during the study,
Not respond to phone calls or unwillingness to continue to participate in the study.
The study population consisted of women complaining of sexual assault referred to forensic medicine center of Babol city in the 1393.
The sample size is 68 subjects with the inclusion criteria and agreed to participate in the study were selected via available sampling method and then randomly insert in two control (B) or intervention (A) groups via select A or B ball.
Both groups will respond to the pretest. Intervention for the experimental group Include providing the booklets based on health belief model structures about prevention of sexually transmitted diseases and telephone follow-up for 1 month to guide and encourage people to take preventive measures and respond to their questions. Control group will benefit from routine forensic medicine center measures. Post-test questionnaires completed by participants in both groups One month later.
