The aim of this study was to Comparison of suction sponge and conventional wound dressings in the Patients with open fracture wounds. A non-randomized single- blind clinical trial was designed. Inclusion criteria were: patients referred with open fracture wounds, Age between 20 to 40 years. and Exclusion criteria were: Diseases affecting wound healing (diabetes, kidney disease, anemia, liver diseases, anxiety disorders), smoking and drug abuse, consumption of drugs affecting wound healing (glucocorticoids, anti-coagulation, immune system suppressants, antibiotics or chemotherapy agents). All participants in the study were randomly divided into two groups. One group was treated with suction sponge dressing and the other group was treated with conventional dressings. The patients were followed for 6 months. At the end of the study, infection and hospitalization days in both groups were recorded and compared.
