Background: Preservation of health and mental health, especially among students is important as they are the future generation of a country. Cases of threats to students’ mental health reduce their academic performance. This study aimed to determine the effect of psychological interventions on mental status of female students with behavioral disorders Materials and methods : This research is a clinical trial study conducted on 80 female students (40 intervention and 40 control) who have the required conditions based on inclusion and exclusion criteria to enter the study and are residing in the dormitory of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences during 2012. The data gathering tools is MMPI(Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory) questionnaire that have 71 questions. The researchers adopted this tool to investigate the mental status in both intervention and control groups before and after psychological interventions (group therapy conducted in 8 sessions of 45 min). Data analysis is performed with descriptive and inferential statistics through SPSS.The results will be reported later.

Exclusion criteria: lack of a clear mental disorder diagnosed by a psychologist؛ lack of theoretical training in the psychiatric ward of the related semester (duration of the study)؛ lack of experience in doing research for the death of a significant person؛ not facing crisis, stress such as divorce and separation؛ and the students who prevent attending in psychological interventions for any reasons

Intervention Group: Psychological interventions will be administrated as a group therapy (in ten member -groups during eight 45- minute sessionsduring eight weeks (one week one session)) for female qualified students. In these interventions, problem solving methods , counseling and supportive interventions will be discussed . Students’ problems will be determined , and the needed interventions will planned by their participation.
