The purpose of this study is compare the effect of two educational methods, film screenings and lectures on knowledge, belief and practice hand hygiene in nursing students is done. Tendency to participate in research and clinical experience in the hospital is the inclusion criteria. Membership in health care centers and attends classes and training courses related to hand hygiene is the exclusion criteria. The sample size in this study is 60 nursing students. The study population is the 6 term of nursing students faculty of nursing and midwifery Tabriz. The first session taken the list of students from the faculty of education. After consent of nursing students and explain the purpose of study and how to do it, students randomly are divided into two equal. With simple random sampling, every one of students participating in the study is given a certain number. The students have odd numbers in the one Group and students who are even numbers placed in the other group. In both groups the pre-test is performed by using hand hygiene questionnaire. The second session of group which is the odd numbers (education through the film) is for 15 minutes presentation. The second group, which has pairs of numbers (education through lectures with PowerPoint), will be presented in for 15 minutes. Items stated in the films and PowerPoint is the same. Two months after the intervention in third session questionnaires were distributed among the students in both groups and posttest is performed for both groups studied. Finally, knowledge, beliefs and practice of hand hygiene among nursing students before and after the intervention are compared.
