Purpose: Evaluate the effect of neurofeedback treatment in reducing symptoms of obsessive – compulsive practical action in adolescents. This study aims to increase F-3 beta in the left frontal region and strengthen this area of the brain by neurofeedback treatment for reducing obsessive – compulsive practical symptoms in adolescents in an outpatient practice.
Inclusion criteria: Age 12-20 year; Diagnosis of obsessive – compulsive practical through psychiatrist interview based on DSM-IV criteria; Medical or psychiatric disorder are not diagnosed; Exclusion criteria: lack of the above inclusion criteria
Methodology: Since this is a quasi-experimental study, 30 patients were chosen Among Obsessive-action and Visitors in the age group of 12-20 years old in EBNE SINA Hospital and Dr. SHEIKH Hospital and a Private office and also randomly were assigned to two positions (neurofeedback therapy and waiting list). The research instrument is Padua questionnaire that measures both obsessions and compulsions. The test was administered for all patients in pre-test and post-test to 10 week intervals and it need to say that clinical interview were used for detecting patients in this research
