The purpose of this in vivo study is evaluation the effect of whitening strips on saliva pH in dental students.
This experimental invivo research carry out on 20 dental students of aged between 20-24 without any active dental caries; periodontal disease; restorative on anterior maxillary teeth. person who have history of smoking; systemic disease; special nutritional habits exclude from study. saliva pH in rest condition measure by saliva- check kit (GC, USA). Whitening strips containing hydrogen peroxide with density of %9.5(crest advanced vivid white strip, USA) apply on the surface of six anterior maxillary teeth for 14 days and each day 30 minutes according to the manufacture instruction.At first, seventh and fourteenth days of treatment, saliva pH in 10, 20, 30 minutes of starting the treatment and 30 minutes after finishing the treatment measure. changes of pH analyse by statistical analysis .
