The aim of this study is to determine the effect of using family centered empowerment program on knowledge and performance of the parents of the children with stoma. This study is a clinical trial on children whit stoma (60 patients). Based on inclusion criteria (The child is at least 1 month since Ostomy surgery), with randomly divided into two groups, couples and individuals have been placed. The group's primary maintenance of children, beginning with a pre-test questionnaire prepared (knowledge, performance) limitations, weaknesses and needs of patients and their parents in the fields marked content the program is designed to empower patients and their families, and then review the educational content provided, training 1-2 hours over 4 sessions, 2 sessions a week and educational classes held in the conference room of Imam Khomeini Hospital, clinical Research center is located.

Inclusion/Exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The child is at least 1 month since stoma surgery (according to the doctor) ; with sick patient and caregivers living with the patient; with the patient's mental ability to participate in the study would have; Patient and family education groups now have not already; without debilitating condition such as mental retardation. Exclusion criteria: at least not to participate in the first training session.
