The aim of this Research is to Determine the Effect of Problem-Solving Skills Teaching on Midwives’ Psychological Empowerment. This study is of One-grouped Pre-test- Post-test Quasi-Experimental type.The Study Population includes all Midwives Working in Gynecology and Obstetrics wards of Tehran University of Medical Sciences Affiliated Hospitals.The sample consists of all Midwives Working in Gynecology and Obstetrics wards of Tehran University of Medical Sciences affiliated Hospitals,That will be included in the Study by means of Census (n=80). Inclusion Criteria: Willingness to Participate in the Research; Prior Employment in the Hospital at least for 6 months; No former Life-Skills and Problem-Solving classes attending. Exclusion Criteria: Participants’ Dispensing with taking part in the Research. All Participants will be Trained Problem-Solving Skill by means of the “Dzurilla and Goldfried’s Pattern” (1 session in 6 hours). Training session Content includes Problem-Solving Orientation, Decision-Making, Implementation and Review. Psychological Empowerment Questionnaire will be completed (filled out) by Midwives before the Intervention and after 6 weeks.

Description
All Participants will be Trained Problem-Solving Skill by means of the “Dzurilla and Goldfried’s Pattern” (1 Session in 6 hours) with Lecturing, Question-Answer, in-group Discussion and Slide-showing Teaching Styles. Training Session Content includes Problem-Solving Orientation, Decision-Making, Implementation and Review. At the end of the Session Participants will get a Pamphlet of Discussed subjects. Psychological Empowerment will be Evaluated by a Questionnaire that Midwives will Complete Before and 6 Weeks after the Intervention.
