Protocol summary

Summary
This research is an interventional study with quasi- experimental design. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of spiritual care education on spiritual well-being, attitude toward spiritual care providing and the competency in providing spiritual care of Intensive Care Unit nurses in selected Hospitals of Tabriz city 2015-2016. The samples of study are 60 nurses working in the Intensive Care Unit in Emam Reza, Sina, Shahid Madani and Shohada Hospitals .The main inclusion criterion is no participation in the spiritual care program and the main exclusion criterion is, previous participation in the spiritual care program. In the intervention group, the education of spiritual care will be conducted in four sessions in the conference room of Hospital and each session will take three hours. The primary outcome is promotion the level of awareness and attitude of nurses toward the spiritual needs of patients and providing spiritual care.

Description
Interventions 1: In the intervention group, spiritual care education will be conducted in four sessions and each session will take three hours.
