The effect of sexual education training package on the knowledge and attitude of preschoolers mothers and kindergarten educators towards sexual education
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of sexual education training package on the knowledge and attitude of preschoolers mothers and kindergarten educators towards sexual education Design: This is an experimental study.The sample size concludes of 80 mothers (experimental group=40 ,control group=40 ) and 80 kindergarten educators (experimental group=40 ,control group=40).The mothers of preschool children and kindergarten educators will be selected based on the inclusion criteria to join the study. At first Tehran city will be divided into 5 areas.Then from each area,2 kindergarten will be selected by using simple random sampling method, one of them for experimental and the other one for control group.Inclusion criteria: Iranian; having at least reading and writing literacy ; didn't participate in children sex education classes previously; having interest in participating in training classes
Inclusion criteria just for mothers:They must live with their husbands (child's father) ; having at least one child between ages 3-6
Exclusion criteria: unwillingness to continue cooperation ;failure to participate in all training sessions.
Intervention:First a pre-test will be taken from mothers and educators in both intervention and control groups .Then experimental groups will receive education, based on training package in 2 sessions, one session per week and each session 2 hours. Speech, group discussion, questions and answers will be used for education. One month after the intervention,the knowledge and attitude questionnaire will complete in both groups and will compared with pre-test.
Primary outcomes included: attitude and knowledge of preschools' mothers and kindergarten educators towards preschoolers sexual education
