the aim of this study was survey of the effect of midwifery rounds on clinical competence of midwifery students. it's a semi experimental study with two group of control and intervention pretest and post test.the sample size is 35 midwifery students studying in Mashhad midwifery and nursing faculty.the inclusion criteria was bachelor midwifery student studying in term7 in Mashhad midwifery and nursing faculty she Had passed successfully the theoretical course of pregnancy and childbirth 2and being maternity internship. and exclusion criteria was being absent in one of two midwifery rounds and have a history of working in practical fields in present and past and being absent in pre and post tests and if the selected lesson do not teach in control group.in control group the selected lesson (preterm labor) was taught in routine in conference room. in intervention group the lesson was taught in midwifery round in the bedside. the questionnaire of clinical competency was performed before and after the teaching in both group. Primary outcome is the effect of teaching style on midwifery students' clinical competency.
