The efficacy of six monthes telephone follow up on prevention of recurrent suicidal attempt in pattient with suicidal history attended to poisioning emergeny and comparison with control group
To evaluate the efficacy of telephone follow-up on prevention of further suicide attempt in attempted suicidal patients, 139 patients who were reffered to provincial poisioning emergency of Noor Hospital(Isfahan-Iran)in 2012, enrolled in a controlled trial. The inclusion criteria were consciousness and informed consent for participation, and the exclusion criteria included any situation which causes discontinuation of the relationship. The patients were placed randomly in intervention or control group. They were intervented either by seven telephone contact or treatment as usual, and the further suicide attempts during six months in two groups were evaluated .
