The Effect of Ergonomics Education on Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of a Group of Dental Students of Babol University of Medical Sciences Related to Working Body Posture: A Clinical Trial
Objective: The objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of ergonomics educational intervention on knowledge, attitude and practice of dental students related to working body posture.
Design: Fifty right-handed dental students
Setting and conduct: In an interventional study, fifty right-handed dental students aged 20-25 years were requested to fill out the tailored-made questionnaire about ergonomics in dentistry before and after the educational intervention to evaluate knowledge, attitude and practice. They also frequently paid attention for their sitting posture while treating the schoolchildren during four weeks. The raw data were analyzed by chi-square, independent t-test and paired sample t-test at significant level of P<0.05.
Participants including major eligibility criteria: Right-handed dental students aged 20-25 year old who were attending the pediatric dentistry course were included in this study.
