This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of education by peers with education by health personnel on blood pressure and treatment adherence in patients with hypertension in Yasouj city. 264 patients selected by convenience sampling and randomly divided into intervention group 1,2 and control group. The first patient was in the peer group, second in the personnel group, third in the control group.Inclusion criteria are ages 35 to 65 years, having chronic hypertension for at least 6 months and exclusion criteria are Patient non-compliance or withdrawal. The interventions are peer education and health personnel education. Consequence is the effect of education on blood pressure and adherence to treatment.

First session: Familiarize the patients together, nature and symptoms of the disease.
Second session: Orientation patients with diet and avoiding dietary restrictions
Third session: Identifying patients with antihypertensive drugs, their effects and importance, medicine consumption, visit with doctor and blood pressure measurement
Fourth Session: Understanding the importance of exercise and weight loss, reducing stress and deal with it
