The effect of together Peer and Nurse education on knowledge, attitude and self-care application in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery and their family care giver
The purpose of this study: Determining the effect of together Peer education and nurse on knowledge, attitude and self-care application in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery and their family care givers in heart therapeutic center of Bushehr. If this type of training has a positive effect on knowledge, Attitude and self-care application, it can be used as a complementary method alongside medication. Study design: Inclusion criteria: over 18 years old; patients undergoing coronary artery bypass for the first time; full consciousness and time, place and person awareness; ability to speak Persian language; they should not have any medical education or any information concerning it; Willingness to participate in research.
Exclusion criteria: The patient dies or suffers from new physical problems so that loses his ability to take care of himself; patient's unwillingness to continue participating in the study. This study is a randomized clinical trial with 80 samples randomly divided into two experimental and control groups by draw (40 people). In experimental group: Patients of this group and one of their main family caregivers will be given an education together peer and nurse based on self-care training manual after coronary artery bypass surgery a week before the surgery. Evaluating knowledge and attitude of self-care will take place before an intervention (a week before surgery) by self-care questionnaire and evaluating knowledge, attitude and application of self-care will take place after the intervention ( one month and two months after the surgery).

Inclusion Criteria: Patients undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting for the first time; the ability to speak Persian language;full consciousness and awareness of time, place and person;do not have cognitive impairment; they should not have any medical education or any information concerning it;Willingness to participate in research;a person who has the most important role in looking after the patient should attend the patient in training meetings; patient care giver must be literate;Patients should be over 18 years old.

Moreover evaluating through self-care questionnaire will be done both before the intervention(a week before the surgery) and after the intervention(a month after the surgery and two months after the surgery).
