Protocol summary

Summary
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of storytelling on aggression of 6 to 8 year old boys. Using a Quasiexperimental, pre-test/ post-test, fallow-up design with control group, a sample of 33 elementary school boys were selected on the basis of the scores achieved from the scales of Shahim aggression scale for elementary school children (parent & teacher form). Subjects were randomly assigned in two experiments and one control groups. Intervention groups were participated in storytelling or storytelling and discussion programs for 11 sessions. Immediately and 3 months after the completion of the intervention Shahim aggression scale was administered as a post-test and fallow-up to 3 groups of mothers and teachers to investigate the effect of independent variable on aggression, reactive-proactive, relational and physical aggression.
