This interventional study aims to determine the effect of training on the knowledge and attitudes of nurses of Coronary Care Units (CCUs). The sample includes 60 nurses of CCUs of Shiraz AlZahra Heart Hospital who will be selected based on census and randomly allocated to the experimental and control groups. The inclusion criterion is willingness to participate in the study and the exclusion criteria are participating in the similar study, transferring to another ward, not filling out the questionnaires and failure to fully participate in the training sessions. The intervention for the experimental group includes a two-session workshop in the field of teamwork which will be held in the form of lectures, group discussion, videos and scenarios. The control group will receive no training. Both groups will fill out the “Teamwork Attitudes Questionnaire” and the “Teamwork Knowledge Test”, before and one month after the intervention. The expected outcomes of this study are the significant changes in the knowledge and attitudes of the participants of the experimental group about teamwork.

Description
Intervention group: A workshop in two 4-hour sessions will be held. In the first session introduction and the objectives of the workshop, the importance of teamwork in the patient safety and prevention of clinical errors, teamwork skills and their tools and strategies will be offered . In the second session, the teamwork skills will be discussed and practiced using group discussion, role playing, questioning about scenarios, videos, etc.
