Comparison of pamphlet, multimedia content and face to face training in performance of nurses in ESI.v4 triage in Kermanshah Medical University hospitals.
Aim: To study effectiveness of three different methods of teaching (multimedia content, pamphlet and lecture) in performance of triage’s nurses. Study population: Triage nurses of 3 general hospital of Kermanshah.
At the beginning, 3 general hospitals with relatively similar patient’s entrance (according to available statistics) among Kermanshah University Hospitals would be selected. Among all triage nurses, according to sample size (36 ones), some would be randomly selected and their current performance as triage nurses would be evaluated by comparing triage’s paper which is filled by each triage nurse (as a pretest). The emergency medicine specialist (the manager of triage committee in west of Iran) would be the nurses' performance inspector. After that three educational packages would be designed and produced according to national guideline of triage. These packages are triage pamphlets, multimedia content and lecture workshop. We randomly assign each package to each hospital, which means all triage nurses in one hospital would study pamphlets and so on.
After the intervention; to measure primary outcome: the triage papers would be assessed again (as the post test), the results of each group would be analyzed and compared with two other ones.

Inclusion: All nurses who are currently working in triage in 3 selected general hospitals of Kermanshah
Exclusion criteria: if a new nurse was added to triage staff, with prior history of participating in workshop of ESI. v4 triage. will be excluded.
