This interventional study aimed to compare the effect of education based on integration and simulation on the level of performance and critical thinking ability of nursing students. The study population included all of Bachelor of Science nursing students in the first semester of nursing education program. The sample (n=40) will be selected based on census and randomly allocated to the experience and control groups. Guest students would be omitted from the study. In order to teach practical section of fundamental of nursing course in the experience group, the integration method including clinical scenarios, problem solving, group discussions and simulation will be used. In the control group simulation will be used to teach the same course. In the both groups the education will be included ten sessions each lasting two hours. The critical thinking ability of both groups will be assessed by the California's Critical Thinking Skills Questionnaire B prior to and after the intervention. In addition, the level of performance of students of both groups will be assessed by Observation Structural clinical Examination. The expected outcomes of the study will be the created changes in the level of performance and critical thinking ability of the students.
