The effectiveness of acupressure on Physiological indicators in myocardial infarction patients hospitalized in CCU of Chamran Hospital in Isfahan in 2015
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of acupressure on physiological parameters of patients with myocardial infarction admitted in Chamran hospital in Isfahan, Iran, in 2015.This study is a clinical trial conducted on 64 patients hospitalized for myocardial infarction. The patients were selected by simple sampling method and were randomly assigned in two groups (study and control), 32 person in each group. Inclusion criteria included: willingness to participate in the study ; age 35 to 75 years; Myocardial Infarction; Alert; no particular problem in the practices of acupressure; stability in hemodynamical records Permission for Acupressure by acupressure specialist and cardiologist; excluding criteria: the patient's unwillingness to continue to participate in the intervention; the patient died during the study; doctor's intervention for excluding from study; the emergence of any circumstances at the time of intervention. The intervention consisted of applying acupressure on five points for 2 minutes at any point, in the morning and evening for 3 days. Data were collected using demographic questionnaire and record physiological parameters were collected. Physiological ten minutes before the intervention and after half an hour after intervention by the researcher was recorded.
