Comparison the Effect of Short Messages System With Group Education on Knowledge and Practice of Middle Aged Women About the Screening Methods of Breast Cancer.
This study aims to compare training through SMS with group training on the knowledge and practice of middle-aged women about breast cancer screening method and is of random clinical trial which will be conducted on 210 people (including 20% abscission) middle-aged qualified woman ( 40 to 60 years) referred to health centers in Mahshahr. In order to prevent the publication of educational materials the samples will be taken from different centers and based on inclusion criteria will randomly be divided into two educational intervention groups (SMS and training group). Data collection tool is scholar-made questionnaire including three parts (demographic, knowledge, performance of women about breast cancer and breast cancer screening methods). One group will be trained through SMS and the other through speech. In group training group based on scientific resources, statistics and prevalence of breast cancer causes the importance of screening methods will be educated during two weeks, every week a 2-hour session (in the whole meeting). In SMS group for each person a 20-minutes overview about breast cancer, incidence, and risk factors will be explained, then scientific messages such as educational material presented in the lecture group will be relying more on screening methods will be sent during two weeks, three times a week (in general 6 times). Henceforth primary questionnaire will be completed 2 months after educational intervention for each of the aforementioned groups.
