Previous research indicates that the fear of fever and the side effects of it can inflict psychological toll on mothers. Mothers need education in this regard. One of the models effective in improving health is the health belief model. Designing and implementing a systematic education program, the current study attempts to take a step toward finding ways of improving children’s health. This study is a controlled randomized trial. 200 samples of mothers who have children of 6 months to 3 years of age who visited 8 health centers in Rezvanshahr were selected. Next, they were divided into two centers for Intervention group and 4 centers for the control group. The Inclusion criteria for the study was mothers who were interested in participating in the study that included children of 6months to 3 years of age, living in Talesh and Rezvanshahr, with minimum education of basic reading and writing literacy, employed in non medical and paramedical fields, and having signed the consent form. The excluding criteria included not volunteering to continue the study, non-collaboration, and not attending one of the education sessions. The data collection tools included a researcher-developed questionnaire, modified from a similar study by Sajjadi. Which was validated. The survey included questions on knowledge, aspects of the health belief model, and performance. After needs assessment at the pretest stage, an educational program will be designed and implemented based on the foundational aspects of the model. After the educational intervention, data will be collected using the questionnaire from both groups 3 months after.
