Objectives: Comparison of lecture and simulation methods in adherence to guidelines of ventilator settings for emergency assistant. Design: Randomized, single-blind, single-center, phase II trial. Setting and conduct: A group of residents in training in emergency medicine will be trained through traditional lecture method and other group of residents will be trained through simulation method. At the end of training courses, they will be evaluated about rate of adherence to a guidelines of ventilator settings. Inclusion criterion includes education in first year of residency in emergency medicine. Exclusion criterion includes not participation in training sessions and evaluation at the end of the period. Main outcome measure variables: Rate of adherence to guidelines of ventilator settings.
