In these study 80 intubated patients who hospitalized in the intensive care unit will be divided into two intervention and control group.To intervention group 6 ml Eucalyptus extract at a 5 percent concentration and control group 10 ml Nacl 9 percent will be given as inhalation three times a day. Patients will be monitored and the incidence of ventilator-associated pneumonia will be checked by Clinical Pulmonary Infection Score (CPIS( every day. The prevention effect of ventilator-associated pneumonia early and late will be compared between two groups.

Inclusion/Exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria for the study included: not having lung infections and lung disease on admission, avoiding the use of immunosuppressive drugs, aged 40 to 70 years, not having sensitivity to Eucalyptus examining case histories and their relatives, patients intubated less than 6 hours, Not taking of antibiotics , No history of diabetes, level of consciousness (GCS) 3 to 8
Exclusion criteria: patient transport, hemodynamic disorders, liver complications, occurrence of urticaria, petechiae, itch and allergy symptoms eucalyptus, extubation and mortality
