The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of Sexual assertiveness training on Positive feeling toward spouse and Sexual health in married women. This is a quasi-experimental study with an interventional and a control group. The study population is women who are refer to the healthcare centers in Mashhad, Iran. This group was divided into two sub-groups of intervention (receiving education) and control group (non-receiving education). Inclusion criteria: no chronic physical illness; non- use of certain medications that may affect sexual activity such as, antidepressant and antihypertensive drugs; no psychotic illnesses and axis 1 disorders (including depression and anxiety); absence of diseases such as heart disease, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, liver and renal failure; non drug-using and non alcohol addicted couples; no pregnancy,no lactation; no menopause; married and having a stable life with the spouse; couples living together for at least 1 year after marriage; monogamy for men; no serious adverse events during the last 6 months(such as death of first-degree relatives). Exclusion criteria: serious marital dispute; pregnancy during the study.The data are gathered via questionnaires: Hulbert Index of Sexual Assertiveness; Positive Feelings Questionnaire; Sexual Health. Target sample size included two groups, each consisted of 30 people. The sexual assertiveness training for intervention group consisted of 2 sessions focusing on sexual assertiveness for two weeks and the control group did not receive any intervention. The primary outcome: Increase in positive feeling toward spouse; Increase in Sexual health . The secondary outcome: Increase in Sexual assertiveness.

Study participants are assigned to one of two groups by toss coin through random allocation: the experimental group (training) and controls (no training). The study is being held for control group in first half of the week (Saturday to Monday) and for experimental group in second half of the week (Tuesday to Thursday).

Description
Intervention group receives 2 weeks of sexual assertiveness training using a training package. The training package contains six various components which are classroom questioning, lecturing, presentations (using PowerPoint), group discussion, asking answering questions and review
This training package is taught 90 minute in a session one day per week which totally be 2 sessions.
