Protocol summary

Summary
In this study, three groups, randomized clinical trial that aims to compare the influence of simulation based training and blended on cognitive skill, performance and self efficacy midwives in the management of preeclampsia and eclampsia. The study sample included all midwives resourceful, undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery hospitals and health care centers of Mashhad, approved participation in the research and internet access in blended education. After explaining the objectives of the study and get the satisfaction of 90 midwives participating, Pretest consisted of completing questionnaires cognitive skills, self-efficacy and station test in 6 stations management skills preeclampsia and eclampsia in duration 55 min will be taken by fellow researcher is gauged using the check list. The Research units into three groups (lecture education, simulation training, blended training) are divided. In lecture training, training management preeclampsia and eclampsia, through lectures with PowerPoint and in simulation method based on Jefferie’s framework (pre lectures, simulations, observation, feedback) by standard patient and Mannequins and in blended education First teaching lecture with PowerPoint and then managing preeclampsia and eclampsia through the website is designed to be taught. training time is 6 hours in all three group. Cognitive skill, self efficacy, the satisfaction of the training course and test and function of midwifes two weeks after the intervention measured and in three group is determined and compared before and after intervention.

In simulation-based training, simulations will be done based on the Jeffries’ framework(pre lectures, simulations, observation, feedback) which means the summary of the educational content will be explained And then the management of preeclampsia and eclampsia runs in conditions simulated by standardized patient and Mannequins in groups of 5 people (three observers and two simulations) with the presence research unit, Supervisors and Specialized Counselors and then the simulated are carried out feedback and necessary reforms.

Description
In the group receiver blended education, Initially training for lectures with PowerPoint are offered by the supervisor, specialized consultant and researcher, Then are given training on how to use and work with site and Finally, samples will be given a password and user name.
