The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of mothers'education on the continuity of occupational therapy in children with physical-motor disabilities. The study population consisted of all children with developmental delay,that occupational therapy on child based on clinical judgment of sub-specialist pediatric neurology is a pediatric neurologist's diagnosis was essential for choosing this study population.The parents who announced cooperation were interviewed and the mothers were then allowed to participate in the study and later,were randomly divided into two groups.Not following the instructed treatment,the mothers were dismissed from the study.Eighty children with physical-motor disabilities were divided into two equal groups.Within the space of six months,occupational therapists pursue the process of the program regarding the mothers attending therapy sessions and the children's performing therapy exercises at home on a regular basis.The study endeavors to reveal the impact of educating mothers about occupational therapy and it's effect on the disabled children's improvement even before the beginning of the rehabilitation program.This study also identifies the factors and the barriers resulting in mother's not following the therapy instructions.

In the intervention group, occupational therapy and mothers 'education sessions consists of twenty-five minutes for occupational therapy usual exercises and twenty minutes for training and how to practice with children during six months ,carried out.
