Protocol summary

Summary
The object of this study is to investigate the effect of problem solving skill training on the level of self handicapping in nursing student studying in 2016 – 2017 in Jahrom University of Medical Sciences.At first all of the students complete the questionnaire self-handicapping and then 90 participants are selected who have self-handicapping score above 50 as follows.First, the number of students in each grade who included in this study, is determined by classification method with regard to various number of self-handicapping people in each grade.Then samp is done in each inclusion by simple random method and by drawing lotsfrom dedicated numbers to each person.Thess persons are divided in to experimental and control groups by redrawing lots.Main inclushon criterion is, studying the student at Jahrom University of Medical Sciences and exclusion criterion is, failure to attend training sessions.Problem solving skill training is considered as intervention that is done in February 2017 and anticipated results of its effects has been foreseen on the students self-handicapping.

Description
The intervention group will learn problem solving skill training during 6 sessions for 2 hours. Then they will complete the questionnaire self-handicapping immediately and one month after intervention.
