The present study examines the effect of participatory care on the quality of care and satisfaction of parents of bedridden children in children's departments. 120 mothers of bedridden children in the children's departments of therapeutic and educational center of Besat Hospital in Hamedan who had criterion to enroll in the study were randomly selected and then 60 mothers classified in intervention group and 60 in control group. After selecting parents, we introduce our researcher and then give them the consent and the research goals and ensure them that their confidential information will be preserved. The control group received routine care and for the intervention group, at first the nurses educational program was performed and then a participatory care program was implemented. Nursing care quality questionnaire and parental satisfaction from care in the second day of hospitalization and day of release are provided to both control and intervention groups.
