Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder is the most common behavioral disorder in children that results in social, educational, and familial ability problems. Psychodrama is one of the effective psychotherapy methods in treating many mental disorders; therefore, this research was aimed to study the effect of psychodrama on social skills of school children suffering from attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
This research was a semi-experimental research including a pretest-posttest instrument with two experiment group and control group. The statistical population included all children suffering from attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder with the age range of 7-11 who were referred to Tehran NezamMafi Rehabilitation Clinic in 2016; The cases of this study, among 90 qualified children, 40 children were selected in convenience, and they were randomly divided into two 20-population groups, i.e. experiment group and control group. The Social Skill Rating System (SSRS) by Gresham & Elliot (1990) were used to investigate the children’s social skills. After the pretest, the experiment group participated in 12 sessions of drama therapy (psychodrama) lasting 40-60 minutes, and the control group didn’t participate in any drama therapy (psychodrama) session.

Inclusion/Exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Infected samples attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder specialist psychiatrist diagnosed based on semi-structured clinical interview based on children and adolescents with DSM-V and -teacher Rutter Parent Questionnaire; 11-7 years of age who is being educated; Lack of exposure to other psychiatric disorders as well as other non-organic disorders or taking drugs or stimulants based on patient health records and treating psychiatrist; At the same time participate in non-drug treatment; Incentives to cooperate and participate in the treatment of children, teachers and parents; Treatment with Ritalin for children and a stable for at least 6 months with stability of the drug.
Exclusion criteria: Acute inattention and mobility status of the samples so that the psychiatrist diagnosis; A person can not participate in activities to intervene; Failure to attend a performance more than twice; Not wanting to continue working; The risk of other mental and physical disorders that prevent the presence of a person active in the intervention.
