Objective: this study will be done to investigate the effects of color and shape images on behavioral problems in children 4 to 5 years. Design: the method of this study will be semi experimental a type of plan pretest and posttest with 4 experimental groups. Setting and conduct: effects of warm colors/curved shapes, cold colors/curved shapes, cold colors/angled shapes, and warm colors/angled forms as independent variable will be measured on behavioral problems in children 4 to 5 years old. Participants: statistical sample will be consisted of 40 girls and boys who will be selected by cluster sampling from four kindergartens of Mashhad city and then each kindergarten will be assigned randomly to an experimental group. Participants' inclusion criteria will be included age of 4 to 5 years and regular attendance at kindergarten and the exclusion criteria will be included having serious deficits of motor-sensory and having psychiatric diagnoses. Intervention: for intervention 4 groups of images will be formed that will be consisted warm colors/curved shapes, cold colors/curved shapes, cold colors/angled shapes, and warm colors/angled shapes. Then the related images in each group will be presented in 8 sessions. During the sessions the children will be tried to copy and paint the images. Main outcome measure variables: for measuring dependent variable, behavioral problems, in pretest and posttest phases will be used teachers form of Children's behavior questionnaire including aggression, anxiety, conflict, antisocial behavior and attention deficit.
