Comparison of the effect of education on two roles and workshops on the knowledge and skills of the victims of domestic violence victim management in pregnancy

Design

In this study, from among 5 health centers in Mashhad, 2 centers were randomly selected and drawn into two groups of role plays and training workshops through the lottery. 30 midwives will be selectively available from the center and will be available in the role group and 30 midwives from another center and will be in the workshop group. The intervention in each group will include 6 hours of training that will be held in one day. Two weeks after the intervention, a post-test was performed and the results were compared in two groups

Settings and conduct

At first, a pre-test will be used to assess the knowledge of the questionnaire and to assess the skill of the presence of two patients in health centers. Intervention in both role groups and workshop includes 6 hours of training held at the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery of Mashhad. After the training, a post-test will be conducted using a questionnaire and two patients who will attend health centers.

Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria

inclusion criteria: have written consent to participate in research; Resident in Mashhad,Midwifery degree (associate's, bachelor's or postgraduate); Do not have a history of attending training sessions or workshops on domestic violence at least 6 months past; Have at least 6 months work experience in health centers.
Exclusion criteria:Satisfaction not to continue participating in the study,During the research, an important and unfortunate incident occurs.

Intervention groups

Intervention 1: Training in the workshop group (6 hours training) as: Expression of the content of education (definition of domestic violence, the prevalence of violence, causes of violence, the consequences of abusive wife in pregnancy) Explain the training steps, grouping (6 groups ), Providing a case to each group (the cases were similar to those of the role group scenarios) working in small groups, reporting each group, discussing and evaluating by learners and group discussions, then summing up by the researcher and expressing the content Training is related to each scenario.
Intervention 2: Training in the role group (6 hours training) in the form of: A summary of the educational content (definition of domestic violence, the prevalence of violence, the causes of violence, the consequences of a spouse's wife during pregnancy) Explaining the educational process, the role played by the researcher And assisting the researcher in order to train, grouping (6 groups), presenting a case to each group, playing the role of the group, playing the role of each group in front of the audience, discussing and evaluating the first, playing the correct role, discussing the second evaluation of the content of the related educational content With any scenario.

Main outcome variables

Knowledge and skills of midwives in managing the victims of domestic violence in pregnancy will be measured before and two weeks after the training using a four-way questionnaire and two patients who will attend health centers.
