To determine the effect of basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation training on the adult knowledge and skills
Design
The study uses an interventional randomised pre-test post-test design with control group. Ninety-two eligible adults who are selected with multi-stage randomization, will participate in the study
Settings and conduct
This research investigates the impact of teaching on the knowledge and skills of adults in Shorab Koohmarh-sorkhi area. The researcher will select eligible adults by multi-stage random sampling. Before the intervention, the pre-test is performed using the knowledge test and the basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation checklist. Then, the participants are divided in two experimental and control groups of 46 people by the random block method. Afterwards, the intervention is performed for experimental group. Therefore two hours of verbal training and 2 hours of practical training based on molasses will be done. The control group dose not receive training during study. Post-test will be performed 8 week after the intervention, using the same knowledge test and the the basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation checklist.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Have the necessary mental and physical ability؛To complete the informed consent؛ To have the willingness to participate in the research؛ Aged 18 to 55 years old؛To have the ability to read and write.
Intervention groups
Experimental group: 46 eligible adults who participate in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation training program for 4:15 hours that is presented by verbal teaching method, show movie, discussion and practice exercises on the pulp.
Control group: 46 eligible adults who do not participate in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation training program.

Randomization description
Sampling is done by multi-stage random sampling.First, they are selected by clustering of villages. Then, by stratified random sampling, the samples are selected according to the population of each village. Then, individuals are randomly assigned to 23 blocks of 4 and divided into control and experimental groups. So that the number of control and experiment groups in each village is equal.

Basic cardiac pulmonary resuscitation of knowledge quiz
Intervention group: Two hours of verbal training by lecture, question and answer, and video presentation of the basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation and 2 hours of practical training, including the presentation and practice of basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the Molasses, and debugging will be done.
