In this study, both experimental and control groups contain 30 emergency nurses working in hospitals affiliated to Iran University of Medical Sciences. The available method and non random allocation of samples are used.At first, the hospitals will be assigned to the control or intervention group , then nurses working in these hospitals will enter the study if they meet the entry requirements.The intervention group will be trained about disaster preparedness through virtual network.

Settings and conduct

This is a quasi-experimental study with pre and post-test and control group. The research population is nurses working in an emergency department of educational hospitals affiliated to Iran University of Medical Sciences. These educational hospitals are Hazrat Rasool Medical- Educational Complex and Hafte-Tir Teaching Hospital of Tehran. After estimating the required sample size, a hospital is considered as a test group and other hospital is considered as a control group, from the Rasoul-e-Akram and Hafte-Tir Hospitals. Emergency nurses with entry requirements are invited to study. At first and before intervention, knowledge and attitude of nurses in two groups of test and control are measured using a questionnaire. In the test group, after forming a group in the social network of Telegrams, the contents of the disaster preparedness in prevailing writings and photographs and films Arises. The duration of the training is sent in 34 sessions for the test group in the mentioned formats.Every day a meeting will be considered. There will be regular training by the Hospital Crisis Committee during the study. However, at the end of the intervention, the provided information is also given to the control group. The post-test is taken and the changes made in the knowledge and attitude of the two groups are compared.

Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: emergency nurses employed at educational hospitals affiliated with Iran University of Medical Sciences; Having at least a bachelor's degree in nursing and a minimum work experience of 6 months in the emergency department,Have a smart phone or tablet, and any other digital device with the ability to install the social network Telegram program. Exclusion criteria: Unwillingness to participate in the study; Not having smart tools to access the Telegram social-virtual network.

Intervention groups

The intervention groups consist of nurses working in emergency department of hospitals affiliated with Iran University of Medical Sciences. These persons are divided into two groups of test and control with 30 members in each group. In the test group, disaster training is conducted through the Telegram social network for 34 one-day sessions.In the control group, the usual hospital disaster committee training is conducted.
