Determining the effect of education based on insight and spiritual action on Hemodialysis patients on their quality of life

Design

Patients will then be divided into intervention and control groups after obtaining criteria for entering the research using sealed envelopes. The sample size was obtained using the same studies using the mean comparison formula, with a 95% confidence interval and 95% probability test, about 18 samples for each group. Considering the probability of a 10 percent drop in samples, 20 patients will be selected for each group and a total of 40 patients.

Settings and conduct

Research will be weekly meetings of spiritual care education. Within six weeks, the components of insight and spiritual well-being will be taught to the Hemodialysis patients in the control group in groups of 5 to 8. Meetings will be held in a quiet place with suitable space at Allameh Bohlool Hospital in Gonabad University of Medical Sciences. Religious images and landscapes of nature, Quranic verses and spiritual poems will be used to accommodate the room space. The staff and staff of the Hemodialysis department of the intervention and control group will be unclear.

Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria

Participants in this research are hemodialysis patients at Allame Bohlool Hospital in Gonabad. From entering the research, being Muslim, aged 18 to 70, having a case in the hemodialysis department, having a willingness to study, having reading and speaking skills in Persian. Patients should be aware of the location and time and have a history of more than six months of hemodialysis. Participants in the study should have at least one weekly dialysis program.

Intervention groups

Intervention groups will consist of forty patients. Patients will be randomly assigned to control and intervention groups. In the control group, after learning and explaining the goals of the research, an educational program based on insight and spiritual action will be implemented. The number of sessions is six sessions that will run weekly for forty-five to sixty minutes. In the control group after the meeting, familiarization and completion of demographic questionnaires and the quality of life of renal patients, no further action will be taken. At the end of the study, the quality of life questionnaire for renal patients will be completed again by both groups.
