To determine the effect of spirituality training on the competence of spiritual care and moral sensitivity in nursing students
Design
a randomized, not blind, parallel group, controlled trial
Settings and conduct
This study is a clinical trial conducted on nursing students of Kashan University of Medical Sciences.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
The inclusion Main criteria: Students who willingness to participate in the research and not having a physical and mental problem.
The lack of inclusion main criterion: occurrence of severe crisis such as the death of a close family member
Intervention groups
The intervention group is trained in spirituality with emphasis on spiritual care aspects for 8 sessions per month.
The control group is traditionally trained based school curriculum and them provided the patients' spiritual care educational pamphlet.
Main outcome variables
Increased of competence of spiritual care and moral sensitivity in nursing students.
