Study aim
Determine the role of vitamin B6 in the treatment of nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy
Design
Triple blind clinical trials and In the first stage, they receive vitamin B6 and in the next stage receive placebo.
Settings and conduct
This study will be conducted as a triple blind clinical trial in children with malignancy undergoing chemotherapy in Amirkabir Hospital in Arak. A total of 100 patients undergoing chemotherapy due to malignancy are included in the study. Blinding will performed by the head nurse of blood ward and takes the amount of vitamin B6 and distilled water and preserves, it as a medicine A = vitamin B6 and B = distilled water. The nurse and therapist do not know the type of drug. In the sample, we examine how chemotherapy has been used in these two cycles to cure nausea and vomiting, as well as severity.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Children with malignancy who are undergoing chemotherapy and referred to Amirkabir Hospital in Arak
Intervention groups
Patients in one step of study 6 hours before chemotherapy receive vitamin B6 and in another step receive placebo with the same dose.
Main outcome variables
nausea and vomiting.

Unwilling to participate in the study patients with Immune deficiency patients with cardiovascular disease patients with AIDS patients with renal failure patients with diabetes

Intervention groups

Description
Intervention group: In a cycle of chemotherapy for the patient, in addition to the use of Granisetron (3 mg / 3 ml), injected into the sample for a half-hour before the chemotherapy was given intravenously vitamin B6 (in the age group of 2-5 years 100 mg - 5-10 years 200 mg - over 10 years 300 mg) 6 hours before chemotherapy is given to an individual.

Description
Control group: In the next cycle of chemotherapy, the same patient as the same previous chemotherapy drug, in addition to the Granisetron, was used as placebo in the same dose of distilled water, and the distilled water was injected intravenously 6 hours before chemotherapy.
