Comparing the effect of text messaging and Telegram Reminder on Adherence to the Drug and Food Regimen of Teens with Diabetes
Design
In this study, 75 adolescents aged 12-16 years with diabetes who were randomly selected to enter the study were selected and divided into three groups of two groups of intervention and one control group and each participant was assigned a code.
Settings and conduct
the patients were divided into three groups of 25, control, SMS and telegram groups. All three groups of Mediterranean diet and drug compliance questionnaires were assigned 8 items of MMAS-8. Then, the questionnaires were completed by the control group, SMS and telegram during the intervention at the end of the 4th, 8th and 12th week.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Sample acceptance criteria:
1. Have reading and writing skills
2. Having a mobile phone
3. Familiarity with SMS and Telegram
4. Use SMS service
5. Ability to read SMS by patient or companion
6. Parental Satisfaction in the Student Company of the Students
7. Without chronic mental illness.
8-Three to eight months have passed from their medical diagnosis and they have not had a severe complication.
Sampling criteria:
1-Unwilling to continue participating in the study
2. Failure to understand and answer questions
3. There is a specific disease other than diabetes.
4. Subjects have not participated in courses.
Intervention groups
In the intervention group, there is no intervention in the control group regarding the diet, physical activity and exercise, glucose control with glucometer, drug use, and response to questions and resolution of the ambiguities for adolescents with diabetes.

Description
Intervention group: In the SMS group of Persian SMS, and in the telegram group, along with educational messages with the help of photographs, educational films are also sent.
