- Determining the Effectiveness of Autism Coaches Training on Social Interactions of People with High Performance Autism
Design
Samples are high-grade autistic patients who register in autism schools. The sampling method is convenient; no control group.
Settings and conduct
This study is being conducted on high-functioning autistic students enrolled in autism schools of Mashhad city. The research method is semi-clinical and collecting information is done using a standardized questionnaire of social interactions that subjects' families do prior to training and 3 months later.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
entry criteria: People with high performance autism
Exit criteria: lack of parental cooperation, defect in filling in the questionnaire
Intervention groups
Persons with high-performance autism who are admitted to the Mashhad Autism Schools and who are trained in a 5-week week are included in the target group.
Main outcome variables
Changes in social interaction of people with high performance autism

Social interactions of people with high performance autism.
Timepoint
The social interaction questionnaire is filled in before the parents start their education, and after 3 months of training they will fill in the parents again.
Method of measurement
The Gersham and Elliotfarm Social Skills Questionnaire (1990)The Gersham and Elliotfarm Social Skills Questionnaire (1990) is an asset of 3 forms, which is used only in parenting form in this research. Description
High-functioning autistic individuals who are being identified by welfare organization and directed to autism schools, are trained under the supervision of specifically trained instructors 5 days a week. The effectiveness of this training on the social interaction is evaluated after a period of 3 months; the assessment is conducted by the patients' families using a standard questionnaire in their residential place.
